Best Pub Garden in East Sussex

It’s that summer-sipping and light-bites time of year.

Our garden is a spot-on space to kick-back and relax this spring and summer. Eye-bogglingly beautiful views over the green-and-glorious Sussex countryside (with the occasional friendly cow) set the scene perfectly.

Whether you’re taking breakfast on the terrace, tucking into a leisurely weekend lunch (that somehow seems to last all-day) or sharing wine on the grass at sunset – our good-looking garden is the place to be.

Feel free to book a table for the terrace, but our big0and-beautiful garden remains open for walk-ins (especially those with dogs) so be sure to rock up early and snap up a sunny spot.

Summer Food & Drinks

There’s something so fabulous about feasting on your food outside in the sunshine. Especially when you’re dishes are accompanied by your favourite bottle of wine (the fancy kind.)

Catch-of-the-day, seasonal salads, and those traditional pub classics taste like heaven on the terrace or over-looking the Sussex countryside.

Toast-worthy Wines

If that view isn’t reason enough to ‘clink’ a glass of bubbles with a friend, then we don’t know what is.

Whether you’re partial to a Pinot Grigio, favour the flavour of Featherdrop Sauvignon Blanc, or are an Assyrtiko aficionado, our impossibly generous wine list will have a tip-top tipple to tickle your tastebuds.

Cheers to that.

First Come – Best Seated

You can book a table on our terrace for any occasion; be it a drinks-and-nibbles situation or a full-on feast.

Tables in our garden are first-come-first-served, so if you’re looking to leisurely linger on a Saturday afternoon then you’d better not dilly dally.

Dog Friendly Pub

With plenty of places for lovely local walkies, our pub is perfect spot for drinks & nibbles after your Sussex based pooch-mooch.
