| The 16th Century Inn is the centerpiece of the picture book village of Fletching in East Sussex; Simon De Montfort kept an all night vigil at the church on his way to the Battle of Lewes. In fact that is how the village got its name, the soldiers "fletched" their arrows here on the eve of the Battle, in 1264.
Fletching is now a delightful backwater with a stunning norman church and some unmissable local attractions.
